Raising the bar
Four Corners is known for neighborhood establishments that offer creative bar fare, superior service, unique design and a relaxed atmosphere. Since the opening of Schoolyard in 2001, our tavern business has grown exponentially and continues to expand in neighborhoods throughout Chicago. While each location is unique in menu and décor, all deliver on the Four Corners brand promise to provide a first-rate experience for every patron, every time.
Benchmark pairs great food and drinks with friendly service and strives to provide our customers with a powerful experience each time they visit. Our Benchmark concept is the perfect fit for the Old Town area in Chicago. The Benchmark menu includes some new and creative items as well as updated twists on familiar menu favorites. With 46 TV’s Benchmark is the perfect place to catch a game with old friends or make some new ones. The highlight of the venue is the first of its kind, fully retractable roof covering most of the 2nd floor. It’s Chicago’s first convertible beer garden.
Located in the Southport corridor, Schoolyard Tavern & Grill lives by the motto “Sorry we party.” Great for a reserved party or watching Illini and Golden Eagle sporting events. Despite irreverent atmosphere, Schoolyard hasn’t abandoned the philosophy of its sister bars – that great food and drink paired with friendly, attentive and a wholly unpretentious staff will result in a very positive and unique experience for its guests. Nineteen Plasma TVs and a number of great specials provide the perfect place for avid sports fans to roost for most every major sporting event.
WestEnd has everything that you need from your neighborhood bar. The impressive 5000 square feet space features a U-shaped bar surrounded by side-by-side high top tables, and snug low seating leather booths. The venue has a private room separated from the main bar by a pair of custom wooden sliding doors and an upper deck lounge with a full bar. And last, but not least there are 33 Plasma TV’s and a state of the art Sound system.
Kirkwood shares all of the same guiding principles as its sister bars; all of our taverns adhere to the philosophy that great food and a great food selection coupled with a friendly, attentive and a wholly unpretentious staff will result in a positive and powerful relationship with our neighbors and the neighborhoods within. Also similar to its sister bars, the Kirkwood attends to all age groups throughout our business day; and we are family-friendly.

Sidebar is located in the heart of Chicago’s law office district in the Loop (at the southeast corner of LaSalle and Wacker). Sidebar Grille has more than 40 domestic and import beers, an impressive selection of “by the glass” wines. The Sidebar Grille menu can best be described as “Contemporary American” and is perfect for the downtown lunch, cocktails after work, or dinner before the show (there are several theaters around the corner on Randolph). Sports fans can also enjoy their favorite teams play on any of our 14 large plasma TVs.
Ranalli’s, a Four Corners Tavern, offers a classic pizza recipe accompanied by great drinks and a Four Corners’ take on Italian focused bar fare. Our team at Ranalli’s strives to give customers a truly exceptional experience in Lincoln Park. In order to make this experience possible, we’ve made several renovations to the original spot. While the patio seats up to 170 people and is still an amazing feature, you’ll notice we’ve made a couple changes in the main bar. We’ve added TV’s throughout the restaurant, bar, and patio and will offer sound for the games you won’t want to miss.
Four Corners Tavern Group’s first location in River North, Highline will be a staple for lunches and happy hours throughout the week. With personal table tap handles and several private areas, Highline is ideal for events of any size. Fremont, located in the heart of River North, will take you from an eclectic dining experience into elevated nightlife. Whether you’re in the dining room or at the bar, this multi-level lounge exudes an energy level that is both exhilarating and inviting. Fremont offers progressive American cuisine and a diverse selection of craft beers, cocktails and wine in a stylish venue. Fremont’s design, created by Studio K, pays tribute to its Las Vegas namesake. Lit metal tubes span the ceiling and cascade down the walls giving the space an architectural rhythm, while a dramatic glass cube cuts through the first floor ceiling, connecting the two levels.
SteakBar is changing things up for Chicago’s steak scene. From updated takes on traditional steak classics to inventive steak-inspired bites, the menu has a little bit of everything. Located in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood, the multi-level space features a grand spiral staircase from lower-level to top, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Wells Street and a flair for musical touches and moody hues throughout. This one-of-a-kind casual day-to-night experience is the first-ever, joint venture between prolific hospitality groups, Four Corners Tavern Group and Hogsalt Hospitality.
Federales, the second joint venture from Four Corners Tavern Group and Hogsalt, offers Chicagoans a unique tequila and tacos experience in the West Loop. Slow-smoked meats serve as the centerpiece of the family style menu, which boasts barbacoa-style tacos and an authentic drink menu made up of Mexican beers and house-made margaritas. The urban and lofty space features a massive floor-to-ceiling mural by renowned street artist Jason Botkin of EN MASSE, communicating the energetic nature of the concept and featuring subtle nods to the longstanding Chicago history of both hospitality groups. Located at 180 N. Morgan St., the space features a fully retractable roof and expansive beer garden, channeling the laid-back, vibrant feel of Mexico and its road-side taco joints.
Smack Shack, located at the base of the Google building in Fulton Market, started as a food truck zipping around Minneapolis, serving one style of lobster roll (New England) and a couple of po’boys. Six years later, Smack Shack has two brick and mortar locations: a 200-seater in Minneapolis and the newly opened Chicago location, which seats 300. The casual restaurant is a joint venture with Four Corners Tavern Group.
